It is almost a decade in the development of 5G, but 5G is finally going to be a part of reality. Carriers have started rolling out fixed 5G to select cities in 2018, and mobile 5G is already appearing in US cities this year, but much more extensive roll-out expected in 2020.

Huawei, the world leader in 5G technology
Huawei, a Chinese manufacturer of consumer electronics and telecommunications equipment, is currently the world leader in 5G technology. Founded in the 1980s by Ren Zhengfei, an engineer who began his career in the People's Liberation Army, cyber security experts and politicians, particularly Donald Trump, accused Huawei of a Chinese intelligence service channel. In an opinion in the Washington Post, Republican senators Tom Cotton from Arkansas and John Cornyn from Texas have characterized the company, which is funded by grants from the Chinese government, as a Trojan horse that China could effectively make control of the digital command heights.
They tell the story of the African Union, which installed Huawei servers at its headquarters in Addis Ababa, only to find out that those servers had sent sensitive data back to China every night. Although Huawei strongly denies that it is an agent of the Chinese government, the senators noted, the company is subject to Chinese law obliging companies to cooperate with the state intelligence system. The Times of London reported that the C.I.A. has evidence that Huawei has taken money from the P.L.A. and from departments of the Chinese intelligence service. Australia, Japan and New Zealand have joined forces with the United States to ban Huawei hardware from their networks.
There is no doubt
There is no doubt that there are more advantages of 5G than disadvantages, but it will also help hackers and other dangerous organizations to get what ever information they need if they succeed in breaking into the firewall and security of a computer or server or any other tech device.

5G offers many advantages, including the possibility to support huge internet of things networks.
